Braving an impending monsoon thunderstorm, 8 troopers assembled for an early 7:30 AM start time, and geared up for this incredibly rewarding event.While some of the troopers manned the front entrance, several broke off to patrol near the road in an effort to draw in additional customers, leading to many waves and honking horns of appreciation from the passing motorists. Troopers also joined Chili's employees in donning special St. Jude and Chili's stickers on their uniforms, showing support for this worthy cause.At the end of the 2.5 hour troop, over $1,100.00 had been raised for The St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The Dune Sea Garrison also continued its ongoing successful partnership with the Sierra Vista Chili's, solidifying plans for an additional event before the end of 2014. All in all, it was another highly successful troop for the men and women of the Dune Sea Garrison, and a great day for charity!
