Healing The Children At Cold Stone Creamery World Headquarte

Dune Sea Garrison members had a sweet time at Cold Stone Creamery World Headquarters in Scottsdale on 8/13 in support of the Healing The Children charity. HTC is an organization comprised of volunteers and medical professionals that provide medical care for children both here and abroad who cannot afford to pay. In addition, HTC does medical missions to remote locations in countries where basic medical needs for children are absent.

This troop took place in the middle of a workweek, which can be tough to staff. The DSG took the challenge and put 10 troopers into the field. Unfortunately, one of our troopers had an unexpected death in the family and could not troop. We did not fill his slot and instead dedicated the success of the troop to him and his family.

According to Cold Stone Creamery and Healing The Children, we broke their all-time highest record for a fundraising-scooping event; taking in donations for ice cream that “averaged more than $500.00 per hour;” bringing in $1,026.00 in just 2 hours!
