January Meet and Greet / New Recruit Support Social

The Dune Sea Garrison hosted our first Meet and Greet on January 30th 2015 at the Denny’s on Broadway in Tempe AZ. The turnout was outstanding, not only did we have members of the DSG there but we also had a wonderful turnout from the public who wanted to find out more about us. Also in attendance were members of Mos Eisley Base(Rebel Legion), Shonare Vhekadla Clan(Mandalorian Mercs), and Twin Suns Spire(The Dark Empire). The original total that was to attend was 50 people , by the time everyone arrived we were at 60+ people and we had taken over 2 large rooms at Denny’s

I would like to thank everyone who brought their helmets, kits and pieces of kits to show everyone the time and love that we put in to our gear. A few were even brave enough to don our buckets


Not only was this a great introduction to the public this was also a great opportunity to make connections for projects, trade patches, pins and other swag and bounce ideas for future costumes off of each other. I don’t know about anyone else, but I kept on trying to talk to as many people as possible and I still didn’t talk to everyone but it was well worth it.
This meet and greet was so successful we have already scheduled one for February 2/27/15 at the Denny’s 2717 W Bell Road in Phoenix
In the future we would like to use these meet and greets to make announcements but all in all this was a great start and I can’t wait to be a part of the next one
