Members of the Jundland Wastes Squad and Rebels from the Mos Eisley Base took part in the 60th Annual Southern Arizona Research, Science and Engineering Foundation (SARSEF) science fair on March 11th, 2015. The trooper’s main mission was to escort Mayor Rothschild to the stage for the evening’s kickoff speech. Defending him through the narrow Tucson Convention Center pathway’s, and from the crowd of younglings, was an escort led by none other than Darth Vader himself. Vader was closely followed by his own escort featuring a “Force Balanced” mix of Jedi, Sith, Stormtroopers, Tuskens, a Royal Guard, and an Imperial Crew Tech.
Once Mayor Rothschild was safely off the premises, the troopers broke off in various groups to interact with those in attendance. Children and parents alike were thrilled to interact and take pictures with their favorite characters from the big screen. They also had the opportunity to view/touch various props that were on display provided by both groups. By the end of the night, Star Wars was in the hearts and minds of everyone in attendance!
Another successful mission completed by the fine men and women of the 501st Legion and the Rebel Legion!!
